Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña

This building was first known as “The Welfare House” because it was originally intended for a general establishment for public welfare.  Today is the headquarters for the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture. The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture is a government institution created in 1955 and its mission is to promote, preserve, divulge and research the Puerto Rican Culture.
